20-JAN-2006::
ERSA
Group, an IT and systems
integration firm, Thursday
announced the signing
of a sponsorship deal
with the Detroit Pistons
and Palace Sports and
Entertainment. The Plymouth-based
company gets corporate
naming rights to 17,000
square foot club for high-end
season ticket holders.
The ERSA Club is scheduled
to be completed by April,
in time for the NBA playoffs.
ERSA will implement the
network infrastructure
for the club, which it
will use to showcase its
interactive technologies.
"This is quite a
commitment on our part,
but we believe the marketing
exposure and credibility
it's going to give us
will be great," said
Geoffrey Anderson, managing
director of strategy at
ERSA. Anderson said the
company is still working
with the Palace on just
what kind of whiz-bang
technology the club will
include. The ERSA Club
will be located on the
second level of the Palace's
north atrium, the highlight
of a $20 million renovation
of the Palace's north
entrance. ERSA has also
been designated "The
Official Systems Integrator
of The Detroit Pistons
and Palace of Auburn Hills."
